Favourite European cities for remote work

Which European cities have worked well for a stay of a month or two? I'm interested in places where daily life is comfortable without feeling like I'm only seeing coworking spaces.

Good public transport, walkable neighborhoods, and access to nature would be ideal.

Ljubljana fits that description nicely. The center is compact, buses are straightforward, and you can reach hiking trails quickly on weekends. Spring and early autumn are especially pleasant.

Apartment availability can be tight, so I would book earlier than you think you need to.

Valencia was my favorite balance. It is easy to get around by bicycle, the parks make evening walks simple, and the pace felt calmer than in Madrid or Barcelona.

July and August would be too hot for me, but October was excellent.

Vienna is not the cheapest option, but the day-to-day experience is extremely smooth. Public transport is excellent, there are quiet libraries and cafés, and the edge of the city has plenty of green space.

For a shorter stay, the convenience made the higher cost worthwhile.
